Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mothers Day to all the mommies out there. New and old!  Hugs and kisses to all those who have lost their mommies especially those who lost their them this year.

I asked Isaac if he could give me a four hour stretch of sleep last night instead if his typical 3 hour stretch. I told him thats what I wanted for Mother's Day.  He decided that instead he wanted to give me several 2 hour stretches. He has been going through a major growth spurt this week and wanting to eat every 2 hours sometimes even less during the day but last night was the first night he wanted to eat this much. I told him that I was really tired but he still wanted to eat. A few days ago this growth spurt caused him to fuss and cry all day long. I finally busted out the moby (see below) and he calmed down for a little bit. Anyway, I retracted my original request and asked for lots of smiles (which he's given me a few) and maybe his first real laugh.

Isaac has grown out of some of his newborn clothing. Baby clothes are like women's jeans. Sometimes you'll fit in a size 8 and sometimes a size 12. So some of the newborn stuff still fits and 0-3... still huge. But I'm actually kind of excited because he's starting to get chubby cheeks.

I can't decide if Isaac wants to be a boxer when he grows up.... or a singer.

Put em' up!
I'm thinkin' about auditioning to be on American Idol.

Isaac is already pretty polite. Yesterday he raised his hand to ask a question.

When's lunch? Cause I'm hungry!
I saw this commercial on tv the other day and I started crying. Sometimes I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to this whole mommy thing. But I think i'm doing ok.

For mother's day I got lots of dark chocolate! My favorite. Dan and I spent the weekend watching movies and eating popcorn. Today we are planning on grilling in the evening and i'd like to take Isaac for a walk. Dan also surprised me by changing all of Isaac's diapers so far today. Score!

What are you doing today?
