Isaac is 3 months old!

Hard to believe my little guy is 3 months old already! Wow! Where does the time go!? Boy he sure is getting big! My has he grown! A lot has happened this month! Isaac started social smiling. Sometimes he loves to give big huge smiles! He also started cooing... a lot. I love having conversations with him. I'll ask him questions and he'll coo back at me. He's also ticklish. I was rubbing his sides the other day and he was trying to squirm away and smiled the whole time. No laughs yet. I thought I heard one the other day but it hasn't happened since so I think its something I imagined. He's also so much more alert. He's able to focus and look at things. It's so neat to see him look at something then flash a smile or coo.

Isaac still gets up on average twice a night... If I am lucky or if I go to bed later then it's only once. I keep hoping he'll sleep for longer stretches but it hasn't happened. In reality he really does need to be eating as much as he is because he is still working on getting caught up. He had another weight check. He now weighs..... 9 lbs 12 oz! Yep! My little guy is almost 10 pounds! This means Isaac has gained over 6 pounds in 3 months. I hear that's pretty good! I go back to work on Monday (I've already cried three times today thinking about leaving my little guy) which means he'll start getting weighed every other week instead of once a week. But given his track record.... it's safe to say he'll be 10 pounds when he goes to daycare.

I felt like this whole last month was one giant growth spurt. Lots of spurts of fussiness and cluster feeding. Sometimes Isaac would eat at 6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm, 9:30pm then go 2-3 hours and want to eat again. For the last two weeks (on most nights) he'd be eating every 2 hours. It has been exhausting.  But the constant eating is helping. He continues to surprise everyone, myself included, with his weight gains.

As I said I go back to work on Monday. I am looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time. It will be nice to be around adults again but I am really going to miss my little guy so much! I made a trip to the daycare today. I dropped off a few things and will take more on Monday. I met the main teacher and she seems really nice. I have a feeling that will be a hard day for me. At least I will be kept busy. I probably have about 5,000 emails to look at alone. I think going back to work will be helpful though. It will help our little family get into more of a routine. Who knows... maybe a routine will help Isaac sleep through the night.

Lets end with the diaper comparison photo. He looks so different! Many people say he doesn't even look like the same baby. I am so happy he finally fits into his cloth diapers! I love cloth diapering and I still plan to do a post about it.... eventually.

Oh.... in other news. It is confirmed. The blood test came back. I do have NF. Shocking right? I guess those doctores can finally believe me. Isaac will have his blood drawn later this month. I suspect by early July we'll know....
