What's your favorite breakfast meal?
I used to have a major obsession with oatmeal. I'd eat it every.single.day. Not the instant kind either. Good old fashion oatmeal with milk and fruit. Enter the only pregnancy aversion I had. My love for oatmeal is gone. I'm starting to be able to eat instant again... I really hope I can go back to regular oatmeal someday.
Well because this question is suppose to be about my favorite breakfast and not my old favorite I better get to the answer. My new obsession is:
This obsession came about when Isaac was in the NICU. The NICU had a "nourishment room" which consisted of a small room with a few snacks for parents and family with babies in the NICU. As you know i'd spend hours at a time in the NICU and would often find myself hungry. I'd sneak into the nourishment room on a daily basis and I'd always have Frosted Mini Wheats. Unless of course they were out... which did happen from time to time. In that case I'd have Teddy Grahams. Since coming home from the hospital it has been something that I have in the pantry almost every week. I don't have it everyday but I do have it frequently.
Your turn! What's your favorite breakfast food?

Oatmeal with apple sauce and almonds
ReplyDeleteHomemade (from scratch) microwave muffin. Or, well, it's called a muffin, but it's actually something only remotely similar to that. I eat it with a coffee spoon of natural peanut butter and some homemade/high quality marmalade. A cup of milk is a good match, too.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm a bit too busy or in a hurry, then I skip the muffin (even though it takes only about 4-5 minutes to make) and go with Kashi Autumn Wheat cereal and milk, followed by a Wassa light rye cracker with half a coffee spoon of peanut butter and marmalade.
Runners go to breakfast: Toast + Organic Peanut Butter = bliss
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link! I love reading your story about the frosted mini-wheats!
ReplyDeleteI really like oatmeal and malt-o-meal. And smoothies! :)
