Three Things Thursday

1. This past weekend we went to the pumpkin patch. We actually have one not far from our house. What's funny about this pumpkin patch is that it is a small farm in the middle of the city. They've been growing and selling pumpkins every year since the late 1970's. The pumpkin patch is surrounded by apartment complexes and houses. Hubby thinks that the land is worth millions. I really hope they continue to do it so that it can be a tradition for us every year.  We got three pumpkins and we plan to carve them up this weekend.  I took a few photos of Isaac on the ground but he was more interested in looking at the leaves on the ground than looking at the camera.  Oh and those pumpkins... two bucks a piece! Cheap!

We took some family photos too!

Once we picked out the pumpkins we took off for home and I took a few more photos. I am not sure Isaac is a fan of pumpkins.

I love when he "puckers" his lip!

2. The Vikings are playing today. They should win too. I've found when Isaac sleeps for most of the game they play really well and win. I might have to force him to take naps during the games from now on. But I have so much fun watching the games with him. I have him sit on my lap and I clap his hands. Then I chant Go Vikings Go!  Go Vikings Go!  Or I chant DEFENSE. DEFENSE. Speaking of football.... I had to tell a certain person why intercepting the football on the 15 yard line was a good thing even though "the vikings had a long way to go to score a touchdown" and no I didn't have to explain this to Isaac.

3. Running... exercising... Bah! I need to make it a priority. I've been slacking and lazy. My only option is to get up early. I can't get the workouts in after work because I enjoy spending time with my family. Now that Dan isn't doing a 1.5 hr commute twice a day and is home just after 5pm I have really been enjoying the family time. Plus Isaac is learning so much everyday that it's neat to watch him explore. I could do workouts after he goes to bed I suppose but yeah.. that's not likely to happen either. But I can't get myself out of bed because I am so exhausted. I'll saying it again. Being a full time mommy and working full time. It's hard to manage it all. I have been toying with the idea of doing the 30 day shred again because it's a short video and then i'll at least be getting some type of a workout in but I know how sore I get from that and I am secretly worried I won't be able to lift Isaac at first. I know I haven't given you an update recently on his weight. He tips the scale at almost 16 pounds these days.

  1. Yeah, I haven't run in nearly two months - and I'm home! I can't imagine how hard it has to be for you to try to find time to run, and please don't think I'm saying that in a "holier than thou" attitude. I just found my 30 Day Shred yesterday and I might start doing that, too!
