Checkin' in

I have seriously been lacking on the blogging lately. I guess I have a good excuse. Time for some updates.

1. We took our first road trip this weekend. We drive 2.5 hours to my parents to celebrate my birthday. Isaac travels really well it seems. He basically fell asleep on both trips. But boy... does Isaac have a lot of stuff he needs. I would have stuck the kitchen sink in if I thought I could get it to fit. It had been awhile since grandpa had seen Isaac. I think he was pretty excited to see him. What do you think?

2. Isaac had fun at grandma and grandpa's house. Grandma got him a nice bouncy seat. Which he loves.

3. I think grandma might be upset that there aren't any photos of her and Isaac. She was there I swear!

4. Auntie AJ (She's one of my best friends from high school) gave Isaac some cute onesies. Isaac loves them and so does mommy! AJ was there too... I seriously need to get better at taking pictures.

5. As a kid I always wanted a Dairy Queen ice cream cake and rarely got one. I guess when you turn 21 (plus 7) you get one.

See grandma was there. My phone is on the table because my sister wanted to sing to me too! 

6. I didn't go for a run on my birthday. I decided to be lazy instead.

7. I swear I heard Isaac laugh for the first time today. It was a quick laugh... a sound I hadn't heard before.

8. Isaac met with his pediatrician today. He now weighs 8 lbs 6 oz and is 21 inches long. This puts him at the 1 percentile for his height!!!!!!!  (Not sure I used enough exclamation points). He is at .5 percentile for his weight. So exciting!

Growing is hard work mommy! 

9. I go back to work in 19 days and I am both dreading and looking forward to it.  I am going to miss my little guy but it's going to be nice to get back to work.

10. Dan got me a nice cookbook for my birthday. So I'll be sharing recipes from it.  I also have two other recipes I have made but haven't shared yet. Gosh I'm a slacker.
