Three Things Thursday

1. I really haven't been running much. In fact, I really haven't been exercising. It's been weeks really... I'll be honest. It isn't important to me right now. I know that I do love to exercise and that being fit is generally important to me but with being a new mommy I find myself wanting to spend all my extra time with Isaac and daddy. I could get up early and hit up the treadmill but I currently value my sleep a little bit more.  I also know my passion for fitness and running will eventually come back. I know I have been a mommy for 7 months and a working mommy for 4 months but I am still struggling with finding the right balance between everything.

2. Totally random but I work for a company that sells tv, internet and phone services. I am in the sales/customer service area. I found out this week that I need to sell about 22,000 dollars (by the end of the calendar year) worth of product to be able to meet my yearly sales commission (they don't prorate my being gone on maternity leave). Totally impossible? No. Is it going to be a challenge? One hell of a challenge! But I am really really going to work my ass off to try and make it! The yearly commission would be a nice check. We also get monthly and quarterly commission (which I have met every quarter and month i've been back...well except for June... because I came back halfway through the month).

3. Last night Isaac wouldn't stop screaming whenever we'd try to put him down for the night. He'd immediately stop crying whenever we'd pick him up. He even fell asleep in my arms, ok ok I nursed him to sleep... which rarely happens anymore, and he woke up the second I tried to put him in the crib. Yep he started screaming. I've mentioned before that Isaac likes to sleep on his belly so I decided to flip him over because he would have eventually ended up there anyway. Guess what happened? He fell asleep in about 10 seconds. He's getting sick again which is why I think he's having issues falling asleep (he had some issues Tuesday night too). I really hope I don't catch it this time. I am actually really worried about the "cold" season this year. With Isaac's early arrival he has a higher risk of getting sick and developing the icky nasty RSV. They do have shots that preemies are often eligible for that are suppose to help prevent RSV but because Isaac was born at the end of RSV season last year he is not eligible to get the shots. I think it also has something to do with the fact that he was almost full term when he was born too. Kinda stupid and kinda lame but whatever.
