Isaac is 10 months old!

Hard to believe my little boy turned 10 months old yesterday. I say this every month but he's really growing up fast.

Sitting in the big kid chair!

Crawling has really been mastered this month. He's cruising everywhere and getting into everything. He's FAST. His favorite things are cords, the recycling and the cats. His favorite cord is the one you see in the photo. Theres not any way we can hide this one either unfortunately. Today I got the bright idea of pulling out the pack n play with a bunch of toys and this little guy. I cleaned the kitchen and made dinner (currently simmer on the stove) in half the time it would normally take. He also has no problems pulling himself up on things. He can kind of walk while holding onto things but he's not very confident about it.

I'm just trying to help!!

We are still toothless. We are still a drooling machine. I am told nursing+teeth is not so much fun so I guess I am okay with no teeth. My biggest fear is that because he doesn't have any that they are all going to decide to make an appearance at once. When I say all... I mean the ones that usually appear first and before 1 years old.

My little guy is very tall! He fits into 12 month clothing and is approaching 18 months clothing rather quickly. Just look how tall he is!  I shouldn't be surprised. His daddy is 6ft 2 inches.

smiles!!

His personality is really coming through. He seems to be very social, happy and he loves to smile. He loves to explore and he loves both playing independently and stealing toys from other kids.

He's babbling a lot but most of it just seems to be baby talk. He can say "dada" and I've heard him say "yeah" before. I keep trying to get him to say "mama" but no such luck.

His day is pretty structured.  He gets up and nurses, then he plays for about two hours. We feed him cereal and he takes a nap. Usually anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours.  When he wakes up he nurses (or takes a bottle depending on if he's at daycare or not) then he plays for another 2-2.5 hours. We give him a veggie (At daycare the veggie is consumed shortly after his first nap follow by the bottle about 30ish minutes later. They are required to have "lunches" done by a certain time. So Isaac gets cereal and a veggie before his first bottle. So essentially he eats a veggie, then the bottle, then plays) then it's time for another nap. This one is anywhere from a 30 minutes to 1.5 hours (sometimes longer). When he wakes up he nurses (or takes a bottle). Then he plays until it's time for dinner. We play some more then get ready for bed. We give him a bath every other night. When it's bedtime (usually around 8) he nurses then goes to sleep.

He's pretty good with sleeping through the night. Sometimes he wakes up and can't find his pacifier. On those nights we have to go in and give it to him. Then he's out cold again. On work weeks he's up at 7ish and on weekends he usually sleeps until about 8.

I'm not sure what will happen between now and when he turns 11 months old but I am sure it'll be exciting! The other day I had a day off from work that I took as a "me" day. I was sitting at a coffee shop, drinking a cup of coffee thinking about how blessed I was to have such an amazing little family. While it's nice to take a day to yourself every once in awhile, I can't imagine my life without Isaac.
