DMV's are lame...

I'm pretty excited because I cooked dinner and fed it to Isaac. I made this. It was a huge hit. yay! Isaac is starting to eat the food we eat.  I am happy because this means less leftovers. Don't get me wrong. Theres nothing wrong with leftovers. I just end up eating them....most of the time.  I am hoping now that Isaac is eating our food more that he'll start gaining a little more weight. Veggies and fruits are great but not full of a lot of calories.

More good news. Isaac transitions to the next room at the daycare. The mobile infant/toddler room. The transition starts on Monday and he will be fully transitioned by Friday. They took him in there today and he seemed to really like it. He'll make new friends and see a few that transitioned before him.  Then other friends will eventually follow him there. I am anxious to see what this room does for him. So many of the kids are much older than him and I think they'll have so much to teach him.

Registration for the half marathon that happens to fall on my birthday is STILL not open. I can not figure that out. The race is in less than four months. There is a website with information about the race and I tried calling. They took my number and name. They are suppose to be calling me back but haven't yet. I will try again tomorrow if they don't call back.

So I am a little annoyed. I thought I'd share this so that it doesn't happen to you. Back in October 2011 Hubby and I bought a car. We wanted something safer for our little family. We traded in my Honda and bought a Ford Fusion. It was my understanding that the dealership was taking car of the tabs.... or license plates.. or whatever they are called in the state you live in... the registration for the car... whatever. According to the license plate we were to renew them in January but they never came in the mail.... which again made me think the dealership took care of it. I should also mention that I tried calling the dealership to ask about this... We have different color stickers for years etc and well my stickers didn't match Hubby's. So I called the dealership. They took my number, said they'd check and call me back. Never did. Not sure what's the deal is with people not calling me back. Life got busy... I never called again. Flash forward to January of 2013. No registration renewal came in the mail. I made a trip to the good old DMV and guess what I found out. Dealerships apparently pay for the remaining year of the registration. Then you pick up the cost when it's time to renew. I guess Oct and January are super close together (note the sarcasm) and that's why I didn't get the registration renew in the mail. The DMV said it happens all the time. And apparently if you don't renew then they don't notification the following year... for whatever reason. What PROBABLY happened last year is the state sent the registration renewal to the dealership and the dealership did not notify us.  To make a long story short I had to pay TWO years worth of registration fees.   Ugh!  When I was venting at work a co-worker overhead and said the same thing happened to her.
